This is a view on the east side of the Mt. Whitney. We see the Owens Valley and part of Guitar Lake or Hitchcock Lakes.
The view is absolutely gorgeous. For views such as this you have been enduring the grueling hike. However, at this
point of the climb you are not feeling that great because you are tired, the air is thin and the trail is full
of rubbles so that the feet are never touching the ground horizontally. In this photo it seems there is the fierce
protector of Mt. Whitney with a faint semblance to old Egyptian sculptures of human-bird hybrid.
